so if ur at the low level its very hard to break trough, at ITFs tournaments u barely get any points by winning a M15 compared to winning slam is 2000

in chess it's also all about ranking points but they don't have an expiration date. If u gain many points in tournaments and then you stop playing you still have high ranking
