I…don’t like the portrayal of Madoka as someone who was slothful as everyone around her suffered. In the original timeline Madoka was a magical girl before Homura even got into school, making her wish very early on in the timeline. This is a trend we see in basically every timeline, until Madoka tells Homura to not let her make a wish. These Madoka’s in these timelines are only held back because Homura’s intervention. In the series anime alone Madoka almost wishes to become a magical girl to save her friends twice, before her actual wish.
