It’s hard to stay without speaking with the shop or seeing their diagnostic process on the invoice, but to me it sounds like there’s more guest work going into the repair than there is an actual diagnosis. It’s very possible that just the camshaft position sensor is causing the issue. You might need those other things maintenance-wise, but normally you don’t replace all of your ignition coils when you’re doing the spark plugs. It kind of sounds like they’re just replacing a bunch of stuff that *might* cause a rough run/misfire and hoping one of the things fixes it. If you happen to see this comment, could you tell me what year your van is and how many miles are on it?

besides the cam position sensor. which is a 200$ part and 1 hr of labour. the rest of that list is suggested maintenance repairs based on milage intervals. while its good to get it done, it probably didnt need to be done. then only thing causing the shake would be the cam sensor

Please get a second opinion! My sister just had issues with her car they claimed 7k+ in work needed doing, went elsewhere and it was like 2k total! Majority of the stuff they claimed was wrong, wasn’t.

I had my husband (who works at a dealership) listen to this video, and he said it sounds like a terrible coincidence and not related to anything Valvoline did. And when one of these things go out, it tends to cause a chain reaction of other things. Sending you lots of love and good luck!!

When it rains it pours, girl! We finally got a good jump on saving and then my dog needed emergency surgery and so did my son and our insurance agent got us a good savings but only if we pay in full...so there goes a ton of that money. It sucks but we will get through it!

If your comfortable using AI, put those things in and see average costing, what sort of things can cause them etc. It may give you a better idea of what's going on and if something was done to the car to get more money out of you. So proud of how far you have come! ✨

I had a similar issue with my 2017 Pacifica. My husband ended up changing my fuel injectors, spark plugs and ignition coils. Quick YouTube video and he has some experience with changing parts out in vehicles. Save me tons of $
