Exactly our trainer had us do that. A few times we have been on a walk in the neighborhood and dogs run up on us and I use the command focus and my Staffypitt would look forward and keep walking. I think it's a very important command

I use hand gestures for each command. Each command has one… sit, lay down(down), move, roll over, stop, no, move, wait, hugs, shake, high-five, let go. Oh and come here. taught him 3 different types of play. Extra gentle, gentle and tough. He knows what kind of play is acceptable. Kids, my older nephews, his dad all have different plays. First time dog mom.
