Hi Cassie. My husband is having Whipple surgery on the 19th of this month. His Surgeon said he’d be in hospital for 11 days providing it all goes ok. We live in country Queensland and have to stay in Brisbane for a week post discharge. Hopefully all will go smoothly.❤️

Good to see you. It’s such a massive recovery. I had an auto kidney transparent and they said a year to 18 months and I’m not kidding it took me just over a year to find a baseline. Just existing takes a toll. Be gentle with yourself and remember you need to rest even when it’s frustrating. I’d had the sleeve before this surgery too and it was a battle to get enough cals in to make it through each day ♥️keep on keeping on love. All you can do xo

Hi Cassie, my mom is going through a similar process. Nobody mentioned the word “cancer” at the time either, so we still haven’t told her. She is now in her third week of recovery after the Whipple surgery. She’s no longer vomiting, which is good, but she is still on enteral feeding. Thank you for sharing your experience.
