Unfortunately, the PvP mode is poorly designed, and earning tokens through fair fights is practically impossible. The most effective way to farm tokens is to avoid fighting as much as possible so you have the most HP left by the end of the match. As a result, the winner can end up being the person who basically stalls for time and avoids combat.
