I met Dermot Mulroney and I talked to him about this movie. I told him it was my comfort movie and he said “it is a comfort movie before comfort movies were a thing” and that he loves making movies like this for us girlies 😭 literally the kind of man you hope he would be. He even remembered me hours later when I took a pic with him.

YES! I got to meet Dermot at a convention and I told him this was my favorite line in a movie ever, and he dropped the lore that the screenwriter Dana Fox was later a producer on New Girl and she was the one who suggested he play Russell! really adds to the iconicness if you ask me 🤣
