its not a trap. u pay to travel om thatbold funicular with a great view....there plenty of traps but this isnt one...

This like saying that you will not go into a museum because there are rocks on the sidewalk which are millions of years old. Its not meant to be an everyday form of trnasportation but a highly historical way to get up to the castle. Sure the prices are high but judging by the lines the demand is also high. Imagine how long you would have to wait in line if it was cheaper. Its nice to give it a try at least once.

funicular is trash, honestly u have better views anywhere else.. chain bridge, the cruise, buda castle, gerard sagredo monument etc

Escalator was broken when we went 😅. There are many elevators to get to the top of Buda castle and the castle district is all pretty much connected

I actually really like this. I think it’s worth it . But I will say if you want to spend your money on other things use the escalator.
