Had a guy once clean his plate. Like not a crumb left. I’d checked on them twice during their meal. At the end I said. “Hey! How was everything?” “Terrible.” I giggled and was like “Oh yea, sure looks like it was.” While smiling and holding his plate up. He deadpanned me and went. “That was the worst sandwich I’ve ever had. Terrible.” And I just stood there smiling until I realized he was serious 😅 I was like “I.. sir why didn’t you tell me when I checked on you during the meal?” 😭 and he’s like “why? So you can bring me the second worst sandwich I’ll ever try?” They paid there bill.. and still tipped.. but I think about him often
