@isabelladavis6_: I’ve been seeing a lot of content lately saying that “females” should be submissive, because apparently it’s in our nature. That we should be quiet. Not take up too much space. Say yes and never question why. That we should obey our partners. Take care of the house, the pets, the kids, ourselves, without asking for help. And if we do ask for help? We’re made to feel like we’re failing. We’re expected to work. To look put together, but not try too hard. Not draw too much attention to ourselves, We’re expected to want children. And if we don’t, there must be something wrong with us. We’re expected to have goals, but not be too ambitious. We must stay in our lane. We’re expected to do it all. And do it quietly. And the more this is pushed, the more women shrink. The more we’re told to submit, the easier we are to control. Which is what they want. But we are not naturally submissive. You can see it in nature. The females fight. Protect. Lead. They don’t submit. And neither do we. Submission was never our nature. #empowering #femaleempowerment #fyp
