Brad’s co-endorsement of Mamdani was one of the greatest political chess moves in NYC history, it ended the Cuomo campaign, made Mamdani seem electable while at same time ensuring Brad would also lose, but he did what was necessary to stop Cuomo. That’s the kind of man I want to be my congressman, congratulations Brad. Can’t wait to call him representative Lander, wish we had another 434 congresspeople just like him.

I've lived in NYC for 17 years. Brad was my city coumcilmember for many of those, then became comptroller. He would have been an excellent mayor (no shade to Mamdani; I ranked them 1 and 2). I'm still bummed that he didn't get a post in Mamdani's administration but a seat in Congress isn't a bad consolation prize. He's far and away the best elected official who's ever represented me.
