It would look even more realistic if you had 2-3 shades of mud on the shoes :D Usually work with a paler and matt colour first to mimic the dried up, caked mud. Then an intermediate tone and going a bit less high to mimic the mud that is part fresh part dry, and a last more vibrant colour on the bottom part to simulate the fresh wet mud 😀

That looks sooo coool, if you add a gloss topcoat it might look more wet, I got instant sensory issues when U pulled the cotton apart😂can't stand the feeling of that😂😂 so props to you 😂
