I have this dream that someday when I get a job, I'll just earn money, save up and invest, then quit my job and live somewhere far away, and live peacefully in the countryside but as I age older, I realized that dream is unreachable. I have to enslave myself for more than atleast 30 years if I want to achieve that dream. But what scares me the most is that once I get used to that kind of life, I'll forget my dream and will just get swept up and forget about my true self.

Not necessarily, society is part of the environment that shapes somebody, but its not the only thing. For exemple, your childhood’s environments part of that. It’s not entirely bad either, humans need this to develop a personality. If we didn’t had norms, society will become a jumble of mess and people will do everything they want. But fitting in is part of the human nature, so there’s always going to be norms in the end. And they’re kinda useful too, it makes people feel like they belong in a mass and it strengthen their feeling of approval which feels valuing. Regardless, it does stops some people from questioning their own beliefs. I understand what’s your perspective in this video, but there’s always a good and a bad in everything, so society is not entirely bad nor creates shallow humans.
