I’m anemic, and it’s worse when I’m pregnant. I also have the hemoglobin E trait that’s a more severe anemia.

My dad is from Cambodia and has the opposite of the deficiency - hemochromatosis (too much iron)! It’s quite rare. It’s so interesting to see how everyone is different and a great reminder to not apply a one size fits all approach to each countries people ❤️
