Why I hate Yugi Oh now 1. first turn, my turn yet my opponent has an effect to summon a monster on my turn 2. Still waiting until my opponent summons on MY TURN!!! 3. My opponent summoned 5 effect monsters on MY TURN on 1st turn before my Main Phase!!!! 4. Can’t summon or set … GG before I can do anything… BS it was MY TURN!!!

My friend suggested I get back into Yu-Gi-Oh. My literal first match was ke watching a guy draw cards for like 10 minutes before I lost. Safe to say I never played the game again

Call me a Yugi boomer but I miss simple yugioh, also why have so many archetypes if there’s a meta and power creep making everything else in the game irrelevant. It’s cool their retraining the gists of duel monsters but still complicated and irksome af being an attorney for a game

This absolutely turned me off, when the game started getting more complicated with every format, for me personally it was far more skilful to pull off a good combo with a simple engine, rather then spam one overpowered deck and locking the opponent out of the game, no true back and forth, no nothing!

literally the reason I quit playing, everyone just wants that OTK when duels before were so simple and the duel itself actually felt like a duel, not just who has the better first hand

Yep, no actual strategy involved anymore, just special pendulum xyz syncro summon everything in your damn deck and extra and win Don't even get me started on duel links and master duel, so much bs.
