He was scheduled to make a dramatic, superhero-like entrance by being lowered from the arena rafters down into the wrestling ring via a harness and cable. While suspended roughly 78 to 90 feet in the air, a quick-release rigging clip malfunctioned and triggered prematurely. The cause of death was determined to be internal bleeding caused by blunt force trauma from a ruptured aorta.
