We lost our beloved son, Jurie (25), and our soon-to-be son-in-law, Tucker (27), in a tragic car accident on Sunday, 24 May 2026.
As an eighth-generation farming family, we worked side by side every day. Jurie, Tucker, my daughter Carla, my husband and I shared not only a workplace, but a life woven together by family, faith, and a deep love for the land.
The loss is immeasurable. The silence they leave behind is profound, and the ache of their absence is felt in every corner of our lives.
Yet even in our deepest grief, we know that God is greater than our loss. He is greater than our sorrow, greater than our questions, and greater than the road we now have to walk.
We choose to keep our eyes on Him. We will continue to praise Him in the good times and in the hard times, trusting that His purposes remain good even when we cannot understand them.
Our hearts may be broken, but our faith remains firm.
All glory to God. ❤️"Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines... yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior." — Habakkuk 3:17–18
