I have to ask: I’m 25, fresh out of uni, and this is my first full-time corporate job. At after-work drinks, a group of colleagues started talking badly about other people in the office. I kind of half-jokingly spoke up and defended one of the people being talked about, but it genuinely bothered me a lot. I got visibly uncomfortable flushed, angry and at one point I had to get up and walk away because I couldn’t sit through it. My question is: how do I avoid ending up in situations like that again, especially once I’ve already started becoming friendly or “mates” with these colleagues?

The issue with these books is that they deal with positions of influence and power - these are positions that most people will NEVER find themselves in.

My grandma has run dozens of companies even at 76 she is insanely strategically smart on beast mode it’s crazy. I’ve seen how she connects with people where it feels genuinely but she gathers so much dirty info from everyone😭

I couldn’t to this day find out what my manger wants really, however knowing that I will never win this person and I need to find a manger that wants me to win is easier? Even tho looking for a job is hard but it’s easier than this person in my case

The prince is about advice to the prince by his advisor Machiavelli. It central theme is that the prince needs to look after his population and territory. This is what the role of government is to care for population and territory. I don’t have a clue what the connection is to your career and bikini.
