I bought my car from my best friend and drove it to NYC plus I use it for groceries shopping parking is just a pain in the ass

It’s so nice if you’re frequently traveling outside of the city. Parking is a nightmare though, everytime you have to leave and come back it’s a gamble of whether or not you’ll find a spot / the street cleaning schedule. But I’m the designated friend with the car to get out of the city lol

Yes you can get in and out of the city easily by car. And go places like the beach Parking is expensive. But having a car is clutch

If you live in queens or Brooklyn it’s worth it. You can drive upstate or to Long Island. Parking in the city is expensive.

Had a car here before Covid and there so many things to do within the city. But the headache of moving car every other day because of street sweeping/cleaning. It sounds like I good idea o thought the same but hardly ever used it. Also garages for the month is the price of car payment.

If you’re living smack in the middle of midtown then no probably not. If you live in Brooklyn, having a car is fairly normal.

Unless you’re living DEEP in Brooklyn/Queens/Bronx/Jersey then it might be worth it. Most of the time you’re not going to use it if you’re working/living in Manhattan

Move to jersey but outside of the city its closer than brooklyn and u can use ur car

It’s def a nice thing to have to be able to get out on the weekends but it’s a huge hastle to street park and paying for parking (area dependent) can be extremely expensive
