I don’t dont use a gua sha tool but I do the same in theory but with my hands and lotion to my T1D daughter after her showers. I am not super gentle while doing it but I’m not so harsh either but I feel like the sooner the better as she’ll have it forever. Going to buy a gua sha and see how she feels about it and start incorporating it
