Honestly me and my husband don’t argue, and if we do we walk away and come back 10 minutes later and just talk, because anger and yelling gets you nowhere but calmness and understanding gets you so far

When I’m fluster from frustration after an argument my husband comes to comfort me. We try to be communicative with one another but because my brain processes things differently and slower and gets frustrating when I can explain things properly so it helps a bunch when he gives me physical contact because it helps me ground myself. He started doing this when he noticed each time under high stress I either pinch or scratch myself. He doesn’t want me to accidentally hurt myself or drown in confusion and frustration, it helps ground me a lot

if one of us is mad and the other person makes us smile or laugh we cant be mad anymore, it has worked wonders for us and we do cool down as we cuddle and work through the things we were arguing about
