when i heard that the makers of the algorithm won't allow their children to use socials, I banned it for under 16s entirely in our home. my daughter is only turning 16 this year and she is far more confident speaking out and is a fab problem solver compared to her peers. it will remain banned for my younger children until minimum 16.

My 6, 8, and 9 have no iPad, no phone, they don’t touch mine or their fathers. They have a tv and ask for permission before putting YouTube on. They have a laptop for school work and they are doing fine. They aren’t missing out on anything. Most Sundays we spend our day out in nature. We go out for meals and talk to each other. Not a phone in sight. It’s possible. They don’t need them.
