I’ve thought about this a lot. Dating is 100X worse in the 2010-2020s after social media and cell phones. It’s a completely different world than drive in movies and diners with rotary phones.

My dad would be cooked lmao. My mom always tells this story where my dad tried being misogynistic, and told her he wanted a woman who would iron his clothes for him. My mom just told him she'd never do that, but stayed. My dad realized he was being ridiculous and learned how to take care of himself. In modern times, she'd leave and post a tiktok dunking on my dad for good measure 😭
