canada is like a Frankensteins monster when it comes to measurements. we use grams for food, lbs for weight, ml/ L or cups for liquids unless is large body's of water than is gallons, meters or km for distance, except when it comes to how far something is travel wise then it's time. we use inches & ft for height and building, & km/h for speed. probably missing a couple but that's the gist of it

Yeah, that’s untrue. We use kilograms in the hospital all the time for bodyweight to dose medication’s.

It’s because the US manufactures many of our appliances and our parents grew up in imperial, my father and I cannot communicate in temperature because he only know Fahrenheit and I only know Celsius, unless it’s the oven then it’s in Fahrenheit because it’s an old stove and it doesn’t know Celsius… so I never learned to bake in Celsius. I just read the recipe instructions, idk what 425°F even means but I put it in the oven for the 14-17 minutes and my pizza comes out perfect
