@drtaniaelliott: Laundry tips you didn't know will make your laundry smell better. Something still smells weird after washing it, like towels often do. It needs a deodorizer. Add two tablespoons of baking soda and wash it again. Use cold water. It helps prevent your clothes from shrinking and fading. Always use hot water for your sheets and bedding to kill off dust mites and mold. Use way less detergent than you think. More detergent does not equal cleaner clothes, and it can actually end up leaving grease or residue on your clothing. Throw away your fabric softener. It is toxic to your clothes, ruins them, and ruins your skin. Plus, it's a hormone disruptor. Instead, use white vinegar. Don't worry, it's not going to make your clothes smell and it'll soften your clothes just as well. Thank me later! #laundrytips #laundry #fyp

What do you use for static cling? My husband’s shorts have a life of their own! I won’t use dryer sheets but he’s desperate for help.

Never use cold water when washing towels. Cold water prevents the detergent from breaking down.

if clothes are stiff from hard water or excessive detergent, then vinegar will remove the stiffness, if clothes are not coming out stiff at the start, vinegar does not have any impact and is a waste to use.

For *mildew* odours | wash the clothes with only vinegar first and then rewash with detergent if the smell is severe.
