All true, BUTTTTTTTT the Atali would only put one counter either way because Laelia only cares about YOUR library to Exile, not enemies

and this is why we wait for all attack triggers to resolve before declaring blocks

How did you play bloodbraid marauder during combat? It doesn’t have flash…? I’m very confused

My War Doctor deck runs on this principle, but there is one card I'm not 100% sure of in this deck: Sacred Guide. That says reveal until, and then exile all revealed. I'm assuming that counts as a single exile instance?

I’ve been running a War Doctor deck for a while and it causes a lot of arguments around this exact rules question. Cards like Tasha's Hideous Laughter and Ensnared by the Mara do similar things regarding checking status. Loosely, if the cards says “do x UNTIL x” it would fall into the same category of this cascade rule.

How is it your playing a card before blockers are declared? No instant No flash Just a creature in the middle of combat?

Does that work with the War Doctor like this? I originally thought it did, but was told otherwise…

Hey Mr rules man I have a question!! End-Blaze Epiphany and The War Doctor. 1 counter for each card, or 1 counter total? My buddy says 1 for each and I say 1 total bc they all get exiled at the same time

Also my understanding is you can’t cast cards mid combat unless instant or flash

Cascade counting each exile as a different instance is an odd ruling. Not saying its wrong, just sounds odd. I get the explanation. curious if my group will believe it.
