I think there’s a easy but maybe a little controversial fix. That would be steam adding a verified publisher set for updates and a non verified one. Verified ones could push updates out as they please while unverified would have to wait for steams approval of the update to allow it to get pushed out. It may slow indie devs at the starts do their careers but it’d make this issue non existent
