thank you for talking about this!! as a Spokane local I can attest that the stadium did very little to bolster the team in publicity, there was no notice that the league was even in jeopardy had the fans known we would have been doing more to save the team (also they are a fantastic team!!!)

I just moved to Spokane and despite actively looking for things to do in this city, I had no idea Spokane had a women's soccer team until I happened to be on the same flight as the team. If you want to do business, you have to market your product.

I had not heard this about Zephyr! We were supposed to get a Super League team here in Madison WI but, my understanding is, our stadium isn't big enough. (It's historic and there are limits to what can be changed.) However, I'm literally getting ready to go to the home league opener for our new semi-pro women's team, Rally. Last week they had a home friendly and there were over 4k people there. It's definitely a business issue, not a community or player issue. We have a pretty great organization behind our USL1 men's team, Forward, and they hit the ground hard for Rally. Their belief and energy only bolsters the community and players for Rally.
