psychic here, it was my understanding that faries and gnomes are tree spirits or spirit protectors of the trees. its hard to pin point because they are always connected to a tree, one can't live or exsist without the other, so its interesting you mention they live in the leaves of trees

When I was a child I saw a fairy dancing on my windowsill behind the curtain, it looked illuminated. Either that or it was the best dream staring at the fairy silhouette dance.

When staying on some land owned by a lovely man and shamanic practitioner (he has acres and we were the only couple staying there- we stayed on his woodland cabin), I kept seeing green lights, and then caught an interesting image of the fire (tinker bell symbol). When I got home after the trip they were glowing green in my garden.
