As a current Home Depot employee this lady is way out of line. The manager explained it perfectly. It’s our job to prevent penny items from being on the shelves but it’s not appropriate to stop customers from buying them. Also it’s against company policy to do anything but ask a customer for a receipt. We’re not allowed to prevent them to leave or anything of that nature
