I wanted my friend to be able to attend my birthday dinner so I made sure to pick a restaurant with options for her. When you truly want to spend time with someone and love someone, you make sure they are going to have a good time too. It’s so simple but the gesture means so much.

I hate it. I typically just don’t eat or pre eat. I know people love me and are trying to be nice but I always deny everything. I hate the feeling of people trying to “help” me or make me feel “special”.

I love when my friends say stuff like this!! Sadly what most of my friends do is say I have to choose the restaurant every time bc I’m “complicated” but why am I burdened with the decision every single time and then get hated on when I choose

My daughter was 8 when she was diagnosed with celiac. She is now engaged to a man whose family has adopted GF cooking numerous times a week to safely feed her. They stock their house with GF items so she can snack. As a mom, it brings tears to my eyes.

My at the time boss brought me gf noodles she found from tj maxx soon after I was diagnosed - she’s one of my very best friends now. When she got married last year, she made sure their caterers had options for me. She made sure her bachelorette party was planned so we would go to places I could eat and her other bridesmaids even advocated for me before I had a chance 🥹
