Unions always prevent better deals just by being a Union. Why would an employer freely give better benefits when a union is always trying to negotiate. If they give anything away freely, they use leverage. If there's no Union, they don't have to worry about keeping leverage.

I was a IAM member for thirty years when it's was Northwest airlines. And end up being a non union employee at delta. Best thing ever happened to me financially. i do believe in the union , but not the IAM.

Rates is a specialty desk and getting more and more responsibilities out on them but to the decommissioning of EZR and yet STILL no override. Leads, RPC, Global Services, Foreign Language desk etc get an override.im voting no until we are considered

I believe United was very organized and a good place to work but the people themselves don't help their case. I find so many people sleeping at work and feeling miserable with their jobs.
