I honestly stopped ready the manga after this. I'm not really mad they lost but they didn't build up to jigen being THAT strong. The excuse is oh he's an otsutski, but we've seen them before I they have all been beaten. It's just serial escalation at this point and you would have to have great writing to justify it. They simply didn't.

Crazy how people scream and cry about Naruto and Sasuke being nerfed, but don’t realize Jigen is not only genetically 100% Otsutsuki, he’s also channeling some of the power of the strongest Otsutsuki we’ve ever seen (Isshiki), AND he’s being directly controlled by said Otsutsuki.
