Baby Sparks is a development app where they literally showed you ways to play with your child that is going to help their development. It’s amazing

My life changed when I stopped trying to entertain my kid and just lived life with them so if I was doing laundry, we did laundry together. We were doing dishes. We did dishes together if we were eating we ate together I would watch TV and she would play next to me. We would go for walks and you talk to them.

So you treat them like a vlogging camera essentially. Enrichment is easy at that age cause everything is new and amazing

As a speech therapist: talk to her! Talk about what you see, narrate your life to her, look at her, smile, make facial expressions! If you look up early childhood development how to play at home that will help :)

I’m gonna give you some great news…you don’t have to play with her!!! Let her experience things independently. Keep an eye on her as you do other things. It’s the best gift you can give her as she develops. The ability to self calm, self play, be alone, independence all start early!!

talk to her like she can talk.... ask her questions and pretend she answers. sing nursery rhymes, count, abcs, tell her about your day, tell her about her aunties, grandparents etc. just talk. one day she will babble back, then she will start to copy u

Pediatric OT here that specializes in development. Go to classes! Music class, art class, play spaces. At home, listen to motor imitation songs (the more we get together, one little finger, wheels on the bus, etc. ) The more repetition the more she will learn the movements! Encourage lots of movement (getting in/out of sitting, tonsss of tummy time, practicing side sitting). Read books too! DM me if you want more suggestions. I wish you were local to NYC you could come to my developmental play class for infants!
