@christa.belle22: Everything you need to know before booking an Auckland fishing charter 👇👀 💰 We chartered a boat with a skipper for $235pp (incl. GST). Boat capacity is 12 people, but pricing is fixed per person 📍 Arrive at the boat by 6:30AM at Z Pier, Westhaven Marina. There’s pay & display parking nearby, just download the INUGO app beforehand to make parking easy 🍾 BYO is allowed (just no spirits). There’s a $10pp surcharge if bringing alcohol onboard, and drinking only starts after 8AM due to licensing rule 🥪 Bring food! Sandwiches were the easiest option. Pro tip: have something before the trip, it definitely helps if you get seasick 💅 🌦 Auckland weather changes FAST. Bring warm layers and wear something you don’t mind getting wet or dirty. Sea water splashes + fish slime are very real 😂 Crocs/rubber sandals are probably the best option 💊 Sea sickness tablets are HIGHLY recommended. Genuinely helped a lot because seasickness can hit you out of nowhere 😭 🎣 You actually don’t need to bring much! Rods, frozen bait, ice, chilli bins, and bags for your fish are all provided 🐟 We mostly caught snapper, a few trevally, and if you’re lucky… kingfish 👀 We also caught yellowtail mackerel to use as bait.
