It took me 2.1 seconds to remember that you're in the southern hemisphere. Does Australia have outdoor winter weddings often? I'm from the US & I've never heard of having an outdoor winter wedding & we may have them but I live in the Midwest & winter isn't very kind here. I can see having a winter wedding in a southern state as it would finally be cool enough to be outside.

My ex just got married on Thanksgiving Day when it was 15° out and a real feel of -19 because of the wind chill. they got married outside! they had a few heaters I heard by where they were getting married but everybody else was in the cold. 😳

I wore a coat to a May wedding cause it was still freezing. And we weren’t TOLD it was an outdoor wedding, I just luckily had a coat in my car as the bride was over an hour late 😡

My sister had an outdoor ceremony under the harbour bridge in July. We got lucky and it was a warm day and not one person wore a coat. The reception was inside. And I was extremely drunk by then, so I have no idea if the night was cold 😂😂😂. But the day was so warm. We weren’t expecting that in July

I went to a winter wedding a couple of years back, and I had my coat on the whole time we were outside. Fortunately it wasn’t the whole wedding, as the ceremony was inside, and the second half of the reception (after dark). But I feel the cold and can be very uncomfortable, so if I’d been told I couldn’t wear my coat I would have gone home.
