By far the worst thing that Genshin does is remove limited event story quests. It's not even like this is news to them, they don't do this in their other games.

This is definitely a problem. If an even has important character lore (2.3 Albedo Event, Simulanka, etc) then why not just make it permanent? Obviously I don’t expect all the events to become permanent (especially like the current one with the kiddies) but just the ones with important character lore

Thing is they could easily do this with a system they already have. Those purple keys we collect after a certain amount of commissions? Literally just make a new icon called ‘Event Chronicle’ that lets new players experience events they missed.

i think they should add the limited time events to the new thing they have where you can rewatch cutscenes, with giving a summary of the context and lore.

They should be permanent. Latest summer event in natlan and lantern rite with zibai are permanent so why not bring back the other major events. Other option is to not gatekeep important lore behind limited time events and instead put them into archon quests/character stories/world quests
