with arli, you constantly need to watch over the umbrella during her 2nd skill and see where you need to land; it can also be used as a shield to ALL upcoming projectiles (e.g. luban’s 2nd skill, huo yi’s ultimate, yaria’s first skill) within or if it trespasses the range—making it a versatile ability for arli to use to save herself from death, juke the enemy and teleport to the opposite direction, or to simply make an outplay.
for the rest of her skills, they’re either used to drift straight to the enemy or away from dangerous situations. her ultimate is self-explanatory, a short knockback skill where her umbrella is thrown forward, another useful escape skill with a short disadvantage for the opponent.
also, if you haven’t noticed, arli attacks a lot faster when she isn’t holding the umbrella, use that as an opportunity to free-hit more efficiently during clashes. also, recap from my first point— always watch where your umbrella is going when using 2nd skill during a teamfight, the mark below her indicates where the umbrella is going, you can use this to reposition yourself to a safer spot for an easier time assisting your teammates.
arli considers her basic attack and passive as her main dmg output, so atk.spd and dmg build is good for her, and always stay in the backline to assure you deal damage safely; and again—be careful with positioning her, she’s one of the squishiest marksmen in-game (from my experience) and can die very easily when in a risky position. that’s all i need to explain for arli, she’s not the easiest hero to play, but all you need for her is good positioning.
