People are forgetting sometimes that its literally a tradition to FOLLOW their story, and looking at Apple's mother, how can she not stray from the path that was literally PUT ON HER? Obviously, Apple was practically pressured into even following every tradition, from her mother, to everyone around her and the headmaster. Why blame the person who was literally shaped by the people around them rather than blaming the people who shaped who she's supposed to be?

she was a kid, she was brainwashed into thinking destiny was everything. She grew up in a household that cared more about status than happiness (not just theirs but others too. Apple never meant actual harm, she just believed what she was told to:/

I used to hate her, but honestly, when looking at her, she's just a child under the pressure of not so nice adults. Her mother wants her to be perfect, the principal is telling her to make sure Raven becomes evil and signs, and just society in general wants her to follow her Destiny, and EVERYONE made her believe it was the only way in life that could make her happy and keep everyone safe.

I actually love her character development as well as she’s frustrating it makes so much sense why she is the way she is, half the people she’s around challenge her views and the other half are constantly pulling her away from them by the constant reminders of her happily ever after she’s meant to have

I think they showed her mother issues too late for many to comprehend her character. I really like her character, a lot about her was just the result of believes she was taught growing up and we saw her develop from it slowly, even if she fell back into it a lot and made very slow steps. It was realistic

throughout the whole show apple white was so focused on her happily ever after that she never even bothered to ask herself what that would mean for raven, however in the wonderland special when raven signs the book apple was able to see what exactly would raven if she followed in her mom’s footsteps, and she didn’t like what she saw and witnessed and it changed her perspective. Truly one of the best character growths.
