I stayed longer than I have. When things fell apart I was there. I supported him... I dreamed with him. But when he finally got back on track the very first thing he wanted to discard was me.

Stayed with him through his lowest moments and helped him reach some of his highest. When I trusted him the most, he cheated on me. He tried to leave, and I begged him to stay. He did. In the process, I lost myself. The emotional breakdowns, the pain, and the betrayal slowly consumed me. One day, I chose myself. I got back up, started taking care of myself, and walked away while he was going through one of his lowest points. Do I feel guilty? Yes. Do I regret it? Not at all. [wronged]

I think kuya was trying to say he lost the woman he planned to build a life with. Perhaps she grew tired of waiting for both of them to succeed and the best course of action was simply to end the relationship rather than drag each other down.
