Prepare the kabocha and remove seeds and cut kabocha into 2 inch wedge pieces. Place kabocha skin side down and cover with the lid for about 7-8 minutes and then flip the kabocha over. Simmer for another 5 minutes and add in the soy sauce. Simmer for another 7-8 minutes until kabocha is tender. Remove from heat and let cool for another 20-30 minutes. egg drop miso soup ingredients - 1 egg - 2 C dashi - 1.5 tbsp miso (can add more if needed) - green onion for garnish Simmer dashi broth and once warm add miso paste. In a separate bowl, whisk egg and then pour it in a circular motion into the soup. Let it sit for 20-25 seconds and remove from heat.
