@sacramentourbanmedia916: An armed man was killed after an exchange of gunfire near a White House security checkpoint Saturday evening, according to the Secret Service. Officials say the man approached a checkpoint near 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue around 6 p.m., removed a weapon from a bag, and began firing. Secret Service officers returned fire, fatally wounding him. A bystander was also injured during the incident, though authorities say it’s still unclear how the person was struck. No Secret Service personnel were hurt. Court records show the 21-year-old suspect had previous encounters involving the White House, including a prior stay-away order issued in 2025. President Donald Trump was inside the White House at the time, while reporters nearby were instructed to quickly take cover as the situation unfolded. The FBI and Secret Service are continuing to investigate.#fyp #viral
