figuratively or as allegory is merely stylistic device, paul was more than learned in linguistics. its another way to say most of the old testament events were a 'TYPE' of the things to come in the new testament.

you are wrong, They existed, but the story was taken figuratively to explain something further.

No. Paul isn’t saying Hagar and Sarah were fake. He’s saying: “Yes, these women were real people and this really happened. But I’m ALSO using their story as a figurative picture to teach you something bigger.”
Verse 24: “These things are being taken figuratively” = “I’m using this true story as an allegory/symbol.”
Paul’s main point to the Galatians:
“Don’t go back to slavery under the law. You’re children of the free woman — children of promise through faith, like Isaac. You’re free.”

No sir. Galatians 4:24 does not mean Abraham, Sarah, Hagar, or Isaac were not real historical people.
Paul is using a real historical account and drawing a spiritual lesson from it. The fact that he says, "these things are being taken figuratively" (or "allegorically" in some translations) means he is interpreting the significance of the events, not denying that they happened.
A modern example would be saying:
"The story of David and Goliath teaches us about overcoming great obstacles."
This does not imply that David and Goliath never existed. It means their story has a meaning beyond the historical event itself.
thank you

This time you misunderstood the whole passage😳. Paul was using Abraham’s 2 sons to explain or illustrate to the people. So it’s more like laying an example which he assumes is figurative😁. It’s similar to a case where a teacher provides an example for the students to understand a concept

Paul was showing two pictures, or painting an illustration... on spirituality and canality. so he used Abraham's case to buttress his point. Isaac a child of the Spirit, being promised by God and Ishmel, a child of the flesh who came by canal desire. Allegory, figuratively, example etc... are used to draw our attention to a story being referred to. but was not the actual topic. there are many references in the Bible like this. the Bible uses the events of the Bible to explain things in the Bible...

Paul taught in Galacians 4:24 that the story of Abraham's two sons is also a symbol (allegory) that teaches a spiritual lesson. Paul did not teach that Abraham or Sarah or the two sons of Abraham were not real. It is the story of the two sons that is an allegory- that is to say that the story of the two sons is symbolic.

Paul is using the story of Abraham’s two sons as a symbolic lesson (allegory) about two different ways of relating to God.

What Paul did in Galatians 4 was:
Paul use real historical people to teach spiritual truths.
That is called:
Allegory or symbolic interpretation.

OLA GLOBAL :
Galatians 4:24 does not say Abraham does not exist. It says Paul is using the story “allegorically,” meaning for a deeper spiritual lesson.
So the passage is about meaning, not denying Abraham’s existence.
Jesus’ lineage through Abraham is stated clearly in the Gospels (Matthew 1, Luke 3), and that has nothing to do with Paul using an allegory in Galatians 4.

Apostle Paul uses an allegory to illustrate the difference between the Old Covenant (the law) and the New Covenant (grace) by comparing them to the biblical stories of Sarah and Haga, Abraham stories is real my brother,
