Surely the Day care will have had to insure themselves based on the age they take in. if they take in a child not in that age bracket that child would not be covered by the insurance if an accident happened or if they caused damage to the property.

At 13 I was responsible for collecting my younger brother from school and staying home till my mum finished work. I also worked is an after school care catering for 4-14 years old. we did t have any over the age of 12. they were considered safe to be home alone.
