@rxvibes50: Replying to @mummyeliana16 Try— Nystatin and gripe water and can generally be taken together, but there are a few important things to know. ✔️ Why it’s usually safe Nystatin is an antifungal medicine (often used for oral thrush in babies and adults). Gripe water is a herbal/liquid remedy used for gas, colic, or stomach discomfort. They work in completely different ways, so there’s no direct harmful interaction between them. ⚠️ What to be careful about Timing matters (important): If Nystatin is for the mouth (oral thrush), it needs time to stay in the mouth and work. 👉 Don’t give gripe water immediately after it. Best practice: Wait at least 20–30 minutes after giving Nystatin before giving gripe water (or anything else). Check ingredients: Some gripe waters contain sugar, alcohol, or herbs that may not be ideal for babies — choose a safe, baby-friendly one. 👶 For babies If this is for a child: Follow the doctor’s prescription for Nystatin exactly Don’t overuse gripe water — it’s not always necessary Bottom line ✔️ They can be used together ⏳ Just separate them by about 20–30 minutes so Nystatin can work properly. #healthwellness #pharmacist #searchable
