I am a pure mathematics major without a minor in data science or computer science. In terms of career opportunities outside academia, it’s basically the same as humanities or social sciences. It’s just hard for no reason. I was one of only seven people who graduated in my batch, and my degree didn’t even help much because, despite completing it, I was never competitive enough for jobs. We all have our strengths. Follow your dreams.
