Think about this, if someone gifted a friend a million dollars, they’d really have liked 700k. Then if they gift another friend that 700k, that friend would have liked 500k…. You could do this all the way down and that million dollars can essentially disappear and nobody ever spent a dollar of it? That’s just so wrong

No, i the U.S., your friend does not have to pay taxes on the million-dollar gift, nor do they have to report it as income on their tax return. Only the person that wins the money is obligated to pay the taxes.

you get money it gets taxed end of year you get taxed again,then if you buy anything youll get taxed,then when who you gave the money to will get taxed then their end of year it will get taxed again.mean while youll get taxed for nothing unrealized capital gains after the fact and the. audited for 7 years and fines, penalties to the point you might get 100k
