@digtaldiaryyy: I feel myself drifting away from Allah… And there is no emptiness heavier than the emptiness of a heart that has begun to distance itself from its Lord. How dark and lifeless the days become when the soul forgets the One who once gave it peace. When prayer once a refuge for the heart becomes nothing more than a burden to complete. Movements without presence. Words without feeling. A body standing before Allah while the heart is elsewhere. The Sunnah prayers begin to feel unnecessary. Tahajjud becomes something “for another time.” The Qur’an no longer shakes the soul the way it once did. Those verses that once brought tears to your eyes now pass by your ears without moving the heart at all. And perhaps that is one of the most frightening feelings a believer can experience: when the heart slowly stops responding to the remembrance of Allah. You look at yourself and barely recognize who you have become. Your nights, once filled with du‘a and worship, are now consumed by endless scrolling and distractions. Your tongue, once moist with the remembrance of Allah, has become occupied with gossip, useless speech, and the affairs of people. Your thoughts revolve around dunya money, attention, desires, status while the Hereafter slowly fades from your mind. You no longer seek knowledge to nourish the soul. Instead, you chase after fleeting things that will never truly satisfy you. Little by little, fitnah pulls at the heart until sins no longer feel heavy, and distance from Allah no longer terrifies you the way it once did. You begin forgetting Allah. Forgetting why you were created. Forgetting that death is approaching with every passing day. And slowly, without even realizing it, the heart hardens. This dunya deceives you until you become attached to a world that was never meant to last. And perhaps the most terrifying part is that a person can continue laughing, living, and functioning normally while their soul quietly withers inside them. Until they become among those about whom Allah said: “They forgot Allah, so He caused them to forget themselves.” — Surah Al-Hashr 59:19 May Allah never allow our hearts to become distant from Him. May He return us to Him before we are completely consumed by this dunya. And may He make us among those whose hearts soften at His remembrance, whose souls find peace in worship, and whose greatest fear is being separated from Him. May Allah always fill your heart with light and keep you firm upon His path, for everyone who reads or witnesses this.
Know that a person’s heart rises and falls, so even when you feel distant, keep returning to the Qur’an. Even if it is only a little each day, let it remain part of your life.
Stay close to people of knowledge, and surround yourself with reminders of goodness protect ur eman like it’s something precious.
And always say in your du’a:
يَا مُقَلِّبَالْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْقَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِكَO Turner of hearts, keep my heart firm upon Your religion.💞
