Calling people “poor” over Coach, Kate Spade, or Michael Kors is honestly sad. Luxury is relative. For some people, a $30 TJ Maxx bag feels just as special as a designer bag does to someone else. There’s nothing classy about mocking what brings people joy.

There’s a lot of comments so this may get lost in the sea, but I will just explain why I will always be a Coach girl. My mom and I (both Latina) went to NYC for a vacation two years ago. We were SO EXCITED to shop on 5th Avenue! We both saved for it, and we went in in high spirits. We visited Prada, then Gucci. The experience was awful. We were followed around the store, and stared at and ignored by all the associates, who made a point not to greet us. My mom cried. We were totally demoralized and were walking back to the hotel, when I convinced her to go into Coach, just to give one more designer a chance. The experience was INSTANTLY turned around! We were greeted immediately, offered a beverage, and assigned a sales associate. We were treated with so much respect, and that will always win my business! I’ve only bought Coach since ❤️

My 17 year old (today! 🥳) asked for the Coach Teri bag for her birthday. I’m a single mom. I saved for 3 months for that bag. So, they can keep their mean spirited thoughts and opinions to themselves! It affects them zero percent to let people live their lives.

I have literally never looked a stranger’s bag and thought anything about their financial status. I generally don’t think about a stranger’s financial status at all, let alone judge someone for their circumstances. Very weirdo behavior. We are all doing the best we can in this messed up economy.

I think some ppl don’t realize that most ppl buy 1 bag at a time from a major box store and use it until they can’t. Having more than one bag is a privilege, having ANY designer name is a luxury
