Mail carriers hate flowers near the box because we have to deal with wasps, bees and birds entering the mail truck.

I'm not so sure about the silicone to hold it all together - a good wind storm could blow it over - but at least this AI DIY project could work. It looks nice, whether you paint the blocks or not.
